MUST ORDER drinks and food BEFORE walking up to the rooftop bar. Lovely heritage place with great view and top location. However once you made the steep climb you realize there's no bar and no way to order!!! So ensure to get your beer BEFORE you walk up there. The bring food up once ordered.
We had our daughters 21st Birthday party last Saturday night on the rooftop terrace and it was everything we could have hoped for. Ellie was amazing, she was full of ideas and knowledge, she helped us with food selection, bar tab even organising the incredible birthday cake and balloons which was such a big help with us interstate for work. The staff were so helpful, thank you to the wonderful Myf, she ran the bar, cleaned away empty plates and glasses, made sure we were happy with the timing so the night ran smoothly, nothing was a problem and she did it with a beautiful smile. The venue is so lovely, the rooftop has a open area and undercover, they also had a plan B incase of rain. If you are looking for your next venue for any occasion give Ellie and the team a call. I cant thank them enough. Michelle
A lot of good things to say about this pub, visited for Saturday lunch. Large selection of beers on tap, everything is vintage, a typical Aussie pub. Indoor/outdoor seating, poker machines, accommodation. Food is below average for the price but maybe it's the location. Busy day so long wait for the food, disappointed with our pizza.
Nice rooftop, staff arent the friendliest and bar is split into 3 separate parts (front/back/rooftop) without much signage on bathrooms/access. Got the kangaroo pizza, nothing special definitely there for tourists. Could see on a nice day the rooftop being a nice stop with how close it is to other places of significance but there are also better restaurants down the road.
Great old school Aussie pub with a lot of character. There are multiple areas on multiple levels to hang out which makes it interesting. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the Rocks, Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay. I had the pulled lamb salad for dinner which was really tasty. Breakfast is included with the accommodation and it is just basic cereals, fruit, tea, coffee etc but definitely enough to get your day started. We stayed in the accommodation upstairs for two nights. The access requires going up two stories of steep stairs so not recommended for those with impaired mobility. The rooms are clean and neat but remember there is a pub downstairs so it could be noisy up till midnight. The bathrooms are shared between the rooms upstairs and are kept neat and clean.
