Blackfish Café & Grill

Absolutely LOVE this cafe! Lovely staff, fabulous food and the view is amazing! Would highly recommend the Soft Shell Crab with Asian Salad and the Chicken Club Sandwich! Our little Cavoodle was also welcome!

A young lady (forgot to ask her name) served us with a cheerful smile and arranged a good spot for three of us. Food is good but the coffee is quite bitter.

Great views and food and drink options however a bit pricey for the portion size. The cheesecake was $14 for a small cupcake size which was very disappointing. The coffee was normal prices but very bitter so ask for extra sugar

So following my wife's review. I asked are your chips Gluten free, reply yes they are, once questioned, well till we cook them with everything else as we only have 1 deep fryer. We cook the battered and crumbed stuff in there so it could be a problem if you are coeliac. Then she went to the cook and asked what is gluten free. The answer was the Barramundi or the vegan salad only. We were never advised about the printed menu. Re; timing, it was not busy. Re; service food eventually provided 25 minutes after coffee, mine warm, my wife's fish and chips cold. Need to ask for utensils. Needed to ask for water Re; coffee, also cool even though I asked for extra hot. Really for over $60 for basic fish and chips you as the manager should not put it back on the customer to object to bad food and service. We rarely eat out and your cafe serves to remind me not to bother.

Great location, average coffee. Blackfish Café & Grill offers solid café fare in a scenic riverside setting. Food’s reliable, service is friendly, but the coffee could be better. Good spot for families and relaxed weekend meals.
