Had a delicious spaghetti marinara for lunch, and the setting in the fountain area is lovely. The waitress too was lovely. Unfortunately had a mean spirited person at the bar who, after getting my order wrong, made it look like it was my fault and wouldn’t replace my drink with what was ordered. I then waited at the bar to buy a replacement and she turned her back so that she didn’t have to serve me. Put a bit of a damper on what was supposed to be a nice Easter outing.
Ordered a spaghetti bolognaise. Members price is $19. When delivered, I was shocked at how small the serving was. Being hungry, I ate what was in front of me. Extremely bland, tinned tomatoes used. To be honest, it looked like a can of Heinz spaghetti in sauce had been heated up and served. Not impressed at all. Over priced and inferior quality. Service staff were very pleasant.
Have been here a couple of times, for lunch and dinner. It is a nice setting as it is well decorated and furnished compared to the RSL itself (bit more fancy looking). Food is generally good, sometimes can be a bit too pricey for the quality. However, The $20 parmigiana on the Friday night is a bang for the buck! I've also tried the marinara before which was really good. The only other thing is that kitchen closes at before 9pm on Friday night, so does the bar, which I found strange for a weekend. Overall I've always had a nice experience here. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Great food, reasonable prices, good service and friendly staff. Good decor and well-plated. There is a lack of vegetarian mains, which is why I'm giving it four stars in the end. I was unimpressed with the vegetarian options that I opted for chicken instead. Nevertheless I would still recommend this place.
