Mike's Grill & Bar Engadine

My steak was grey, ready for dog food the next day. Oysters covered in cheese to hide the fact that they were so small. Never going back.

A part of the Engadine Club. Food is great but a typical club level of service. You must be a member or from interstate to enter.

Note: this place gets filled quickly on a Friday night and is really noisy. So noisy we couldn't really converse. I had a lovely and generous fettuccine bosciolla with a delightful moscato. I felt that the service really let the place down. The waitress was almost contemptuous of my wife when she tried to use the code on the table to order food. "That's only for drinks," she sneered. Really? She could have said that in a pleasanter manner. We received no smiling at any time. Sorry, not coming back.

This restaurant is inside the RSL. It's got a huge range of dishes from pastas to ribs and steak to parmigianas. Something for everyone. I got the 250g steak with mushroom sauce and it was beautifully cooked. Perfect. My friend has the barramundi but the portion was slightly small. The prawn nagasaki looked pretty good and the pasta was a huge portion so was the parmigiana. To top it all off, a glass of large house red wine was only $9.30! Soft drinks were about $3.50 for non-members. Definitely worth coming down here for a good feed at reasonable prices.

Simply one of my favourite places. Tasty dishes and very nice service👌. Not to mention the huge quantities. My all time favourites mexican parmy and lobster mornay (on specials some times). Special thumbs up to George 👍
