I recently stayed at The Strand Hotel in Sydney and had such a wonderful experience. My room was perfect — the bed was incredibly comfy, the room and bathroom were both modern and spacious, and all the thoughtful details really stood out. The Zip tap just outside our door with both cold and boiling water was brilliant, the robes were a lovely touch, and the printed (and actually useful!) hotel guide felt refreshingly rare these days. The air-conditioning was also very much appreciated on a hot Sydney day. The library is beautiful, with tea and coffee available any time, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. We only stayed one night but I honestly wish we’d booked two so we could really enjoy the space. The location is fantastic. Stanley Street is an easy walk with lots of great cafés and restaurants, and Oxford Street is also just a short stroll away. The rooftop bar had a great vibe. A DJ, good food and drinks, and a beautiful view of the city. Such a lovely spot to end the evening. I was a bit worried about noise from the pub or bar, but I didn’t hear a thing. Our room was on the Crown Street side and I even took earplugs just in case, never needed them, slept like a baby. We’ll definitely be back. A rare find in a big city.

The $15 daily lunch burgers are great value but not for the fain-hearted.. I worked my way thru the whole menu over the week I was in town, and rate the fried chicken the best. Tasty & fresh, and satisfying, and busted me completely, and Im a big eater. Hope same deal still on this year when I return in oct/Nov. If so, I`ll be there everyday again, for my burger n Resch`s.

The Strand is a brilliantly located hotel, we stayed in the Petite Plus which had enough room to walk around and was fitted with a lovely bathroom. However the room could do with a lick of paint and was very noisy roadside for those that are bothered by that. That being said was a great hub for Sydney exploring with lime bikes galore and on foot to whizz around all the sights.

Great little pub/hotel opposite our hotel. We went in there for a quick beer before checking into the Sydney Boulevard. Fred behind the bar was super, kind and welcoming. Highly recommend especially as they have a good range of beers.

Everything about this place was perfect. The staff were welcoming and wanted to cater to your every need right away. The bed sheets and the bed overall was the cleanest hotel bed I have ever seen. The shower was too quality and everything was stripped clean in our hotel room. Felt at home here and felt so clean. Also comes with complementary drink and breakfast which is so good. Highly recommend this place and will def be choosing to stay here again.
