What people say
Great pub food was excellent, the rooftop bar is looking very good after the renos. Their Sunday roast is awesome.
We've hosted events in Bob's Lounge at The Lord Roberts Hotel in November 2025 and January 2026. In January we had 70+ people. What stood about the space - it has its own bar and bathroom which is a great feature for hosting private functions. What stood out about the people - the owner, bar and kitchen staff were all welcoming and all delivered at a high level. The food was amazing. The beers were cold. The staff were nice. On both occasions - we've had great feedback about the venue, the food and the staff. I'd like to thank Lewis, Tom, Chloe and all of the staff at the Lord Roberts Hotel for their help and hard work to make our event successful.
We have been back here a number of times. Food and drinks are good but what I really like are the staff here - warm, friendly and helpful. 3 months ago We recently booked the upper rooms for a farewell party. Service was excellent and drinks were well priced and good. We ordered some food as well and looking forward to going there more often. Highly recommended.
Really great spot. Nice rustic Aussie pub at the bottom, then head to the roof top for a more modern vibe. Great for private events. Food is good. We were there for a function and would have expected the arancini and chicken popcorn to come together, then all the skewers out at once, and finishing with the sliders. Food just randomly appeared and you couldn't get a sense of how much you should and shouldn't eat.
What a great pub, highly recommended. Built over 150 years ago it has retained its charm and character. Good selection of drinks, and the food is excellent too (especially the Angus burger). Definitely worth a visit!
