What people say
I came to Fahrenheit cafe on a Sunday for breakfast with friends after the first couple times coming here being decent service and food. It’s been about a month since my last time here. At first glance it must've been obvious that NONE of the staff are properly trained or are inexperienced, it did not seem like anyone knew what they were doing. For context the cafe itself was not even busy, at least half of tables still clear. My friends and I all had to return our coffees as milks and syrups were all done wrong. After already getting a remake, it was once again made wrong and had to ask AGAIN for two simple coffee orders to be fixed. Food was not great, at least a 20+ minute wait for all our food. My friend who had ordered first had waited around 35 minutes before asking if her food was on the way (a simple granola yoghurt bowl), we were told yes. Around 45 minutes we ask again and are told it was on its way again. It had been an hour, my friend asks and all the staff member says, “do you want something else” after laughing infront of us. My friend got a refund as we had things to do and had already spent an hour and a half at this horrible cafe. Bonus points, no cutlery and napkins were supplied when food was EVENTUALLY even brought out. Genuinely worst cafe experience we had all had, and this is the first time in my life Ive felt like I had to make a review so the owners know they need to sort this place out, all the other customer's around us had equally similar attitudes as problems clearly were happening for the entire customer base for the entire day.
We have been coming to Fahrenheit Cafe for a few years now , due to the service and the food. We have notice over the past few months, that the service and food quality had started to go downhill. Unfortunately to say, our last visit, will be our last. The cafe was appalling. The quality of food and lack of service has completely gone downhill and has disappeared. On our last visit, when we arrived, only 4 tables occupied, this place use to be packed and hard to find a table. Though now beginning to look like a ghost town. We notice there was water all over the floor in front of the fridge, and as that is were the customers have to help themselves to table water, the water had been walked through the whole cafe. There was only one wet floor sign in front of the fridge. No staff member even acknowledged the water to clean it up, instead, they were all behind the counter chatting or on their phones. We ordered the Smashed Avo, served with poached eggs, tomatoes, spanish onion, feta cheese, lemon and balsamic swirl dressing on sourdough. What we ended up getting was Smashed avo replaced with avocado puree. Over cooked poached eggs. Very, very......very..... little feta ( the one drop was a nice touch, was that the garnish?) The spanish onion was in large chunks (does the chef know how to slice? Or only mirepoix?) and there was no lemon & balsamic dressing. Smash avo replace with avocado puree, are you guys for real. Your ingredients should be fresh, not something out of a container. (I use to be a chef and worked at a place that used the same avocado puree from the container, I know what it is like. I changed the menu to use fresh avocado, easy to do and taste so much better. Your customers pay top dollar for a descent meal, give them what they pay for. As I said before, we have been coming there for a few times. I'm sorry to say, but your cafe is no longer the go to place. It needs working on badly.
Went here this morning with prior reservation and it was kinda busy, so we expected some delay and were understanding at first. It took around 15 minutes for staff to come to our table to take our order, which we accepted given how busy it was. However, after ordering, more than one hour passed and we still did not receive our food. Tables that arrived after us were served full meals, not just coffee. The couple seated behind us, who had arrived before the newer customers and even us were also still waiting and eventually became upset and left without eating. After waiting over an hour, we asked about our order and were told it would be ready in two minutes. There was no apology and no prior warning about the long wait time. If we had been informed earlier that the wait would be over an hour, we would have understood and likely chosen to leave. When the food finally arrived, my Eggs Benedict was cold, the poached eggs were already broken, and there was no hollandaise sauce on my dish. By that point, my appetite was gone and I did not enjoy the meal at all. We did not complain to the staff at the time because we understood it was a busy day, but the overall experience was very disappointing. A simple apology or communication about the delay would have made a big difference.
Used to be good but now shit mybaked beans where mostly chickpeas the sausage that used to be good was replaced with weird tasting chicken sausage, bread toasted heaps crunchy eggs rubbery. And the Muesli was basically yoghurt with a spoon full of muesli so disappointed.
I visited this cafe today, I’ve been here quite a few times in the past but that was well over a year ago. I took both my daughters here hoping to enjoy a nice lunch. I ordered a cappuccino and two kid Oreo thick shakes, as well as banana bread, 2 hash browns and poached eggs with sourdough. We received our drinks instantly, coffee was nice and the thick shakes but it took 45 mins just for me to receive our food. No apologies or warnings of how long the wait was if I had been told when ordering I wouldn’t had stuck around. Our banana bread was nice, chips were nice but the hash browns looks so soggy and unappealing. My eggs then came out and had a black hair on them, which is disgusting! No one apologised. By then I was starving and well over the entire experience. I asked for a refund, which I hope was processed correctly but no apologies, no customer service WHATSOEVER. I will never come back again, to spend so much money, with such poor customer service and then not only that unhygienic with hair on my eggs the sourdough looked soggy and not even toasted. Even the staff working said oh yuck when I pointed out the hair, may I add I noticed it as soon as she put my plate down so it 100% came From the kitchen. Poor quality service, take your time and money elsewhere.
