Haze Cafe Stockton is a cafe where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
Lovely cafe with delish food, nice coffee and friendly service. I ordered the chia pudding and it was top-notch. I read the previous review where someone was upset he couldn't get bacon and eggs. True. It's not that kind of place, that's why it's name says 'Coffee Bar'. Instead, they have delicious toasties and porridge and juices that's they're pumping out lightning quick for the heaps of locals that stop by for their coffee and a chat. I'll take it! ☕ They use Oatly oat milk, a big tick for me! ✔️ Ample street parking, ask for the toilet key if you need it. Great spot, just a quick walk to a great playground down the street and the ferry wharf.
Unfortunately the re-branding of AR to Haze has come with a sacrifice of quality. We didn’t mind paying a higher price previously because of the nice finishing touches. However, most food and drink now come in plastic cups and takeaway containers with kiosk food vibes but at upper market cafe prices. The service remains great and the staff are very friendly.
Hard to say which is better here, the hot chocolate or the vibes. As a hot chocolate and sweet treat connoisseur, I can unequivocally state that these guys do the best of both in the entire Newcastle region. As for the energy and customer service, every minute spent with the gang here is joyful, warm, intelligent and fun. Scientists are still studying the restorative properties of such good vibes, but I would safely opine the vibes here may even reverse the aging process, cure disease and/or strengthen the smiling muscles (not actual medical advice). Sadly, it doesn't seem to cure male pattern hair loss, but you'll forget you have it which is the next best thing (and cheaper than flights to Turkey). These guys are literally the best and, if you're looking for joy in your life, swing by and have a conversation (and a hot chocolate).
Great little cafe in Stockton. Easy access from Newcastle by train, metro, and ferry from Queens wharf. The quality of the food and drinks were good. The staff are friendly and attentive. The prices were a touch on the high side. There is also no indoor seating so you tend to sit there and suffer in the morning sun. Next time I'll probably do takeaway and sit under a tree in the park that is a 5min walk away.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
