Nice old style club. Friendly staff. More dining oriented than poker machines. Kitchen run by asians so heave focus on Chinese food. Food was ok. The sweet and sour pork was tasty and fresh. But the prawn cutlets seem to be the frozen ready made style. (Much better with fresh prawns and coated on site). Overall not a bad feed. Would consider again as it is close to our accommodation.

Thanks to Stockton Bowling Club for a fantastic venue on Sat night. My family and friends had a ball. Great food from the Bowlo Bistro, with Tim doing a top job in the bottom bar, also lots of room for the kids to play and the music was pumping. All round a fantastic place to have a function.

Very old club, but other than that nice quick friendly service. Food is very tasty. The entrees looked rough but were delicious. Fried rice is definitely one of the better ones I have tried, plenty of flavour and a bit darker compared to normal. It would be due to a bit more soy sauce in it, which I loved. There are so many bland fried rice out there, so it was a welcome change. Honey chicken was the best I have had in a long while. Crispy and perfect amount of sweetness. The chilli garlic combination had the right amount of heat, and was a really nice flavour. Veggies weren't too overcooked, still had texture. This is definitely in the top 5 of Chinese meals in the Newcastle area. Recommended.

Nice spot and lovely to find a casual place with decent vegetarian options. Good selection of beers on tap. I had the pumpkin salad and a cider. Chips also yum. Footy playing and friendly atmosphere. Note that children aren't allowed on the tile part of the floor, so stick to the carpet!
