Perfect for little kids as the waves are quite small. Patrolled in summer. Club house has toilets. Disappointing that the surf club wasnt open for food on a Saturday. Parking is somewhat plentiful but may require a short walk down/up the hill.
Toowoon Bay is a beautiful scenic beach with clear, warm, calm water. A lovely sheltered spot for swimming and we saw beautiful fish swimming in the beach water. Stunning views. There is no hot water in the female showers, amenities are old and very basic, but this place is worth it.
Beautiful spot with a great coastal view and a relaxed vibe. The beach is nice for sunbathing and spending a calm day by the sea, especially if you’re just there to relax and enjoy the scenery. That said, the water isn’t always very clean, so it’s not the best choice if swimming is your main plan. Overall, a good beach for views and chilling out, just don’t expect crystal clear water.
Beautiful beach. The bay area is a great place to swim as it’s not as rough as the ocean beach which is also right there. There are numerous lifeguards so it’s very safe. It was a windy day when we were there so we got whipped by sand but on a non-windy day it would be perfect. It was also easy to park.
Great location for kids, waters have never been rough during our visits. Theres a canteen sells hot chips and ice cream along with other snacks and drinks. Bathrooms with showers are available and area you can rinse off the sand towards the life guard tower.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
