R.M. Campbell Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Bankstown. Just 300m away, The Shed Cafe - Bankstown is a nearby spot to stop in after your walk.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at R.M. Campbell Reserve, a Canterbury-Bankstown Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under the effective control of a competent person, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.
Small play area, but a decent amount of open room. Exercise equipment isn't very well taken care of. Parking is generally quite limited.
It is a small reserve but not that clean. There are some roadside parking, but sometimes tough to get a parking.
There are pretty big grass areas for kids to play as well as dedicated play equipment, however there are no fences so kids would have to be watched all the time. They have recently installed some pretty nifty gym equipment so the park could be part of your early-morning exercise routine in Bankstown. It's a pity someone decided to build a block of units in the middle of the two parks (because it does sort of lessen the calming effect of being in a park).
R.M. Campbell Reserve is a nice place for a morning workout or a stroll around the park it is also a great place to bring you kids to play on the playground equipment. But also Canterbury-Bankstown council need to put extra bins in the park so people who use the park can dispose for there rubbish also the council needs to upgrade the picnic area and table plus control the ibis problem and clean up the bird droppings.
A reserve where one can witness a diversity of birds scavenging through maccas wrappers and feasting on foodscraps dumped by local Residents.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
