What people say
Beautiful well cared for sports ground right next door to the tennis courts and linking with the botanical gardens. There is a stand to sit and watch games and a basketball court. You can bring your bike here and ride along lovely pathways into the botanical gardens. Plenty of parking, restrooms as well
Grass area in good condition and easy to get to from the walking track or close carparks. Shaded sitting areas and water station for filling drink bottles and pets also just over the footbridge.
Great ovel, in Picton town. Used for Cricket or soccer and recreation. Easy walk to town, super open ovel
If you look closely at this sports ground you will notice it is in a giant depression. When it rains a lot and there are issues with the drain it fills up with water. I have heard that the Roman’s used to fill the colosseum up with water for certain events. I was a scout leader up the hill at the scout hall years ago and we were very rarely able to take the kids canoeing on Hume oval. It was fun. Our little piece of Roman history in Picton!
Hidden gem, great for walking around the park as there are lots of tracks that surround the oval. Close to the bowling club and memorial park, and not often used so go and train there.
