TokyoTaco Newtown

Salmon nori taco yum the flavours and value excellent. I got meal deal with drink & chips. Spoilt for choice everything looked great. I sat and did journaling watching the busy street. Dog friendly out front.

Is ok... Does the job for a quick meal. Serves the purpose.. tacos with a twist what you would expect to find typically at Newtown. We ordered the miso baked salmon and pulled pork tacos. Quite delicious and something different, Mexican x Japanese. However, my advice... do not order the corn ribs unless you want to get rip off. 3 pathetic over cooked corn ribs with japanese BBQ sauce for $10.50. My miso baked salmon was $14.90 so go figured. Good location and is good that the restaurant has liquor license.

the food here was pretty good and reasonably priced considering location !!! and the staff were so lovely.. i think the open nature of the location is a bit awkward since we saw some bugs and cockroaches come in from outside and that wasn't so nice :') but this isn't the staff's fault so overall, this place was amazing and i definitely think it's worth trying ! next time, i might just get takeaway though :)

Combining my two favourite cuisines, Mexican 🇲🇽 and Japanese 🇯🇵 is really cool and I love the idea of it but it was a tiny bit disappointing.😞 I built my own Tokyotaco 🌮so I had sashimi salmon 🍣 with guacamole 🥑 and salsa 💃 . The salmon was fresh and good, the guacamole needed more lemon 🍋 and salt 🧂 personally and the salsa 🍅 ain’t that good so they gotta fix that or smth like add more spices. 🌶️ The tacos 🌮 are really hard to eat, they’re rlly big and fall apart easily. I think it has a lot of potential but I think they need to somehow change the taco and make it easier to eat. Also has the soy 🫙chicken 🐓 taco 🌮 and apparently it was a 2.5/5 ⭐️ Another thing is they don’t tell you on the menu that you will only get one taco 🙂‍↔️. They really need to clarify that because the price 💰is high and makes you think you’re going to get 3.🙏 They do have very nice various types of drinks from mocktails 🍷to cocktails 🍸 or just refreshments. 💧 Service was nothing special like they just give you the food 🍱 and clean 🧼 up afterwards so that’s nice.☺️ Overall, decent place they have a lot of potential but sadly a tad bit disappointing but glad I tried it.👍

I had the slow beef nachosu. The beef was under seasoned but went well with the green sauce. The design of the drink was so cool and tasted very mandarin.
