Willie the Boatman

In a quiet residential area, you will find a number of signs taking you through a path through some out-of-order toilets before turning into a dark alley between some closed workshops. Continue down the or turn back? Fight your fears and head into the darkness and you shall be rewarded with a well-hidden brewery bar that is a super chilled place to de-stress over a few beers. You will enter through some roller garage door, to discover a shrine of alcohol with some cozy booth seats. There is a good collection of beers here, all very well priced.

We recently held our wedding at this unique venue and had a tremendous experience and a fabulous event. Pat and the team were supportive right from our initial conversations and put together a solution to meet our expectations. They made sure that everything ran smoothly and that all of our guests had a great time, as well as working closely with all of our other suppliers to provide a seamless experience. The venue is unique and has a great atmosphere and the team at Willie's made it feel like a celebration with friends. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Hamish gave us an excellent tour and the tastings were a delightful array of flavours and the back stories added character to our visit. A quality experience we recommend to all discerning drinkers seeking to understand the craftsmanship that goes into a great beer experience

If I Could Give 10 Stars, I Would! Willie the Boatman was the perfect venue for our wedding—truly unforgettable. Pat and the team were absolute gems: warm, welcoming, and so incredibly hospitable. From the start, they made us and all our vendors feel completely at ease. Nothing was ever too hard, and their laid-back, can-do attitude helped everything flow seamlessly on the day. The space was amazing, the beer was bloody delicious (seriously, some of the best around), and to top it off—they dig PM Albo! Add in the super central location and you’ve got yourself an unbeatable venue with heart, soul, and great taste. We couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you for helping bring our day to life in the most spectacular way!
