Pickled Monkey Brewing is a cafe in Marrickville with outdoor seating. It hasn't yet been confirmed as dog-friendly, so it's best to check with the venue before visiting.
This brewery occupies a huge space and the seating area is very clean and spacious. There is also some shaded outdoor seating. There is a good selection of beer on tap, all very well priced. The food here is what stands out. I really liked the chicken parmi that was tender and generous in portion. The Korean crispy pork pizza was also nice, something I have not tried before. The place itself is great with both indoor and outdoor seating and the range of beers were awesome. What let the place down was the food, which was a major disappointment. My $32 "Mega Burger" was over cooked, dry and so salty I could still feel it's aftertaste a few hours later, add the tepid fries to this meal and it added up to what was a very disappointing meal and certainly not worth the premium price. My friend had the pizza and also mentioned something about too much salt. To be fair the taco's and chicken looked fine but I didn't taste these so you pay your money and take your chances I guess. The venue itself is great but I wouldn't return for the food!
Great place! Plenty of space, friendly and fast service. Tasty food, the tacos are amazing!! Highly recommended. A bit noisy for my liking, but perfect for a group of friends and with different daily specials.
Pickled Monkey stands out from the crowd as one of the few craft breweries with its own full kitchen, serving beers in high quality glassware that beats the local competition. The atmosphere is the true highlight of the experience, complemented by excellent staff and incredible wood-fired pizzas made with fresh, house made dough. It’s a top tier spot where the environment and the food are just as impressive as the drinks.
I ended up stumbling through here with my buddy to try out some of the local breweries. We here only briefly due to time constraints, but it was well worth it! Truly enjoyed the beers that we tasted. What sold us was their claim that they made stouts close to Beamish! Of course we tried it!, and it was pretty damn good in all honesty. Just had a slightly sweet note that you would see in Beamish. We ended up chatting with the gentleman Chris and just trying/critiquing the stouts they had and just getting general tips of the area. Quality breweries are always A+, but breweries with knowledge/humble staff always makes it much more fun to drink and try new things. Come for the drinks, stay for good microbrew scene conversations. Yes, id go back for their "Beamish" if was in the area
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
