It would be so nice to have a town square here to have somewhere to sit in the shade, for locals to play cards and drink coffee, and kids to play. I hope we can get this done!
I have always wondered why this little parcel of land at such a prime location is a sad little carpark, while there is so much potential that this could be transformed into a public space that everyone can enjoy. There is more public space needed in this area considering how many people are buying takeaway food from one of the shops. Transforming this to a public square will be great for businesses, locals and visitors!
This should not be a car park. Such a waste of community space. Marrickville Town Square. Bring it on!
