Ann Cashman Reserve is a small Balmain park ringed by trees, with enough grass for a ball throw and a local, neighbourly feel. Dogs are allowed off-leash on weekends and public holidays from 4pm to 10am, or from 5pm to 10am during daylight saving, and need to stay on-leash outside those times. It is especially popular in the evenings, when local dogs gather on the grass.
Ann Cashman Reserve is off-leash between 4pm and 10am (5pm–10am during daylight saving), weekends and public holidays. Dogs must be on a leash at all other times, and are not permitted within 10 metres of the children's playground.
I love this little park for my dog to explore and even meditate in. The circle of trees surrounding make it feel as if I'm not in the middle of suburbia.
Seems to be a bit of a dog park, balanced with Friday evening wine quaffing and Kadoodle poodle and Labrador run arounds. It's big enough to throw a ball at least. And has a muddy doggy water hole. They seem to like it.
The path around the grass area has been a great place for the kids to ride around on scooters 3 wheelers and bicycles. The park is looking very tired but the children love it. If you have a dog - great for you as the grass area is allocated special dog walking times during the day - however it is not very nice when a dog owner leaves dog eggs for your child to find.
Lovely park which is fully enclosed. All equipment is in working order each time we go. Clean and has bins. Nice green grass oval next door with bike track for the toddlers to go around. Parking on the street is easy. One downside is that I found the gate locks low down and my toddler can unlock them.
This is a great little park with a play area and nice grassed centrepiece, surrounded by trees for shade. A path around the circumference allows kids to ride their bikes and scooters. We take the grandchildren down there.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
