Jamison Views restaurant is superb. The restaurant is beautiful, the views are spectacular, the food delicious, and the service attentive and professional. We shared the chorizo and prawns followed by the duck confit and lamb - we enjoyed our experience so much that we decided to go back the following day for breakfast! We can’t wait to return and enjoy cocktails on the veranda while watching the sunset and listening to the pianist 🍹
I booked a table by the window for my wife's birthday dinner. Staff were warm and friendly. Kitchen service was slow. A starter of a small cup of soup and a hot bread roll with French butter was provided to us quite quickly, after were ordered our meal. My wife ordered an entrée of Lobster Agnolotti ($26), consisting of delicious pasta filled with lobster meat and swimming in a creamy leek veloute and shellfish sauce. That was a must try dish, wonderful. I tried the Terrine of Poultry and Game ($24) consisting of duck, chicken and quail meat in a savoury jelly with truffle and potato, picked baby vegetables and two shards of crispy garlic toast. Most delicious tastes, enjoyed it immensely. For mains we both ordered the delicious and succulent Lamb Saddle ($38), consisting of two medallions of lamb rolled with mushrooms and spinach, zucchini King brown mushroom, onion, baby turnips, green beans in a port wine jus. Super delicious. We ordered a side of creamy mash potato ($12) which was amazingly blended. I savoured a generous glass of Australian shiraz with the lamb and we both shared a bottle of sparkling mineral water. For dessert, we shared a really extravagant tasting, Apple Tart Tatin ($16) which consisted of local apple baked in caramel and puff pastry and served with vanilla and cinnamon icecream. We completed our meal with well made, flat white coffees. Food was fine dining, the dishes were well designed and the food flavours exciting and definitely worth trying by people with mature tastes. A meal here is highly recommended.
Additional review: We returned for our last night in Katoomba and had another wonderful dinner! Ethan was fantastic and looked after us so well. We loved the complimentary soup and bread to start the meal, the beef/lamb/pork belly mains were divine. This is definitely our favorite place to dine in the mountains. Thank you Ethan & team. Beautiful lunch, dinner and breakfast during our stay at the hotel. All staff were efficient, friendly and hardworking. The food was delicious and the views are spectacular! Thank you very much, we look forward to our next visit
Their continental breakfast is $18 but if you order Al La Carte, the continental breakfast included. Having said that, the breakfast quality was excellent. Sitting in the quite restaurant overlooking the spectacular view of mountains, I fully enjoyed the vegetarian burger ($26).
Had dinner here tonight. All the food and dessert that we had tasted delicious. The drinks from the California Bar were nice especially the Mountain Nautical Espresso. During weekends, the pianist will be churning out fantastic pieces while guests can enjoy drinks by the fireplace. Service was great too.
