Such a wonderful place to stop dog friendly in the front bar The food is amazing probably the best chicken parmigiana I’ve ever had The salad was fresh and crisp. The chips were beautiful and the parmigiana wasn’t oily overcooked and not covered in crumbs. You could cut it with a fork. What an amazing pace to stop don’t miss this beautiful little hidden gem

We stopped at the beer garden for lunch. Wedged between the highway and Leura station this is a 120yr old hotel with fantastic beer garden. The food was excellent- good selection of beer and friendly service. Getting a table in beer garden may be tricky on holidays. The great thing about this restaurant is large car park and the fact that you can bypass the town of Leura where parking and driving through village is a chore.

Lovely food and service! We are in town for the weekend and came to The Alexandra Hotel for dinner. My husband had the “diavola” pizza, which was cooked in a traditional wood fire oven by pizza chef “Reuben”… he is an amazing pizza chef… in fact, my husband said it’s the best pizza he has ever had (and he’s been alll over Italy). Thank you Reuben and the Alexandra Hotel for lovely dinner!

The pizzas are atrocious and not even suitable for chook food! We are locals and love to go to the pub for a drink and atmosphere. Other menu options are OK but it seems despite numerous bad reviews nothing changes in regard to the pizza offering. You should order one just to put on your instagram to regale your friends with your stupidity now that you've read this review. The pizzas may have many alternative uses such as a frizbee in the nearby park but remember 2 things: you can get a real Frisbee for less than $24 and you will probably get more enjoyment and nutrition if you consume a plastic Frisbee, it also has the added advantage of less salt!
