Lawson Fenced Dog Park is a large, fully enclosed space that was formerly a golf course, giving it a much bigger footprint than most fenced parks. The scale makes a noticeable difference, with plenty of room for dogs to roam and explore.

Inside, there's a mix of surfaces including grass, sand, and bark, along with a variety of planting that creates lots of different areas to sniff and move through. There's also an agility course for more active play, as well as water fountains throughout the park.

Adjacent to the park is a walking track through nearby parklands, with access to water along the way, making it easy to extend the visit beyond the fenced area.

Dog rules

Dogs must be on a leash in all other areas of South Lawson Park including the Waterfall Circuit. Gates locked between set hours. Dogs displaying aggression must be removed immediately.

What a lovely surprise to discover this park during our travels. We were hoping for at least a bit of grass for the dogs to sniff and stretch their legs, but what we found was so much more. It’s a former golf course that has been fully fenced, with plenty of open grassy areas, lots of trees for shade, and even an agility course. There’s also a lovely trail to the side with a pond where the dogs can have a splash.

Good large dog park & an added bonus there is another section outside the park where your canine kiddo can go for a swim in a natural pond with a small cascade.

What an experience !! This is a great off leash park. This was my pups first visit to Lawson Park, and I have to say we were both so impressed. The walk to the waterfall is so beautiful. I highly recommend this park. We will be visiting more often.

Gorgeous, massive fenced dog park with pockets of bush walk, agility, seating & open spaces. Safe entry gates, water bubblers, established tree shade, bins & bags. One of the best fenced dog parks in Aus. Outside the fence are beautiful bush walks with a lovely mini waterfall & creek. You could spend weeks exploring this extraordinary space.

One of the best dog friendly parks! My dog loved all the activities you can go there. Also it was super clean and everyone picked up their dog poops which is a change.
