Lawson Oval is a well-regarded dog-friendly park where dogs are welcome on lead. The Henry Blue Mountains is also around 450 metres away if you're after a post-walk drink.
Dogs are welcome on leash. Blue Mountains City Council's default rule applies: dogs must be on a lead in public areas unless the site is a designated off-leash area. Please follow signs on site and remove all dog waste. (Source: Blue Mountains City Council.)
Great spot for running, no hills which is a bonus and grounds are always maintained excellently by council. The BMX track is great for kids and family. There is also an off leash dog park opposite but remember to scoop your dogs poop in consideration for others ;-)
Field has a big ridge through the middle, very uneven playing surface. There was no seating for spectators, there was no canteen open, and the toilets were full of sports equipment.
Public toilets 👍🏼 Car Parking 👍🏼 Permanent shade and seating for watching soccer 👍🏼
Lovely park ands around this oval thanks to many years of care by Bushcare volunteers led by Karen Hising at the Council
Combines with a BMX track the Lawson oval is a nice field where you can enjoy those outdoor games and toys.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
