The Henry Blue Mountains

Unfortunately our food here was below average. Chicken schnitzel had weird grey/ pink colour and weird texture, mash/ veg unseasoned and mushroom sauce was gravy with chunks of mushroom. I’ve been before and had an OK steak so was disappointed with this visit. The arancini was good though although probably wouldn’t try it again now, not worth the money sadly.

Seriously the best food ever, the pork belly salad was hands down THE BEST salad I’ve ever had and one of my favourite things I’ve ever eaten out (huge call!) plus the chicken parmi also one of the best we have ever had by far. Incredible food that blew us away and was unexpected , beautiful interior and we will be coming here to eat every mountains trip from now on!

I came to this pub today with a mate at lunchtime for a drink or two and something to eat. I ordered the risotto, and it tasted really good, but the portion was more like an entrée than a main, and $30 for it seemed way too much. When I went to complain to the chef, she said the price of the rice and there were 3 prawns in it. I used to be a catering manager, so I know food prices, and I definitely wouldn’t charge $30 for that risotto. I'll probably come back to the pub for a drink or two sometime, but definitely not for the food — way too expensive for what you get.

Stoped for a Sunday roast of the day. Meat was perfect. Fell apart. Thick slices and enough to fill me up. Looks to be recently renovated with a lot of families So great to see and was good value. Enough for people to feed their families there at least. Very quick service.

Delicious food, tasty drinks, friendly staff, a great quiz host, and there's even a fencing club - Mountains Fencing Club - nearby! What more could you want?! 🤺
