Nozomi Sushi is a cafe in Katoomba where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
The food here is actually not bad, but the service at the counter was a total headache. They have a younger girl working the register, looks like she might be in high school or college, who clearly isn't ready to be front of house. She couldn't answer basic questions about the menu, and then she tried to charge me $9.50 for a $6.50 order. I had to correct her math myself, and I didn't even get an apology, just a cold, dismissive attitude the whole time. This girl needs some serious training before she's back on the floor. It’s a bad look for an otherwise good spot.
The only problem with this place is that I keep wanting to go back! Exceptional sushi that is simply faultless. Don’t be out off if the cabinet is not full, that is simply because they keep making fresh all day.
The only Japanese food in Katoomba made by Japanese people. Quality relative to the other 'Japanese' restaurants is higher, as expected. It's a shame they don't run a dine-in restaurant.
Fresh, tasty and great value with fast and friendly service. Totally destroyed my preconceptions about shopping centre kiosk food.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
