Lighthouse Reserve sits on the headland at Vaucluse with expansive views over Sydney Harbour. The off-leash area is a large, open grassy space with room for dogs to run. Waste bags and bins are provided, and there's parking nearby. The harbour outlook makes it one of the more scenic off-leash parks in the eastern suburbs.
Off-leash at all times. Dogs must be under effective control. Owners must clean up after their dogs. Penalty for off-leash in an on-leash area may exceed $330. Source: Woollahra Municipal Council – Walking Your Dog (woollahra.nsw.gov.au/Services/Animals-and-Pets/Walking-Your-Dog)
Love this off-lead dog park, it's one of the nicest in Sydney up on the highland, overlooking Sydney harbour. Huge space for dogs to run and play. It's so big that you can throw a ball/toy and not worry about disturbing anyone else so great for those with high energy dogs. Bins and poop bags all around. Benches for those who want to sit and watch their dog or the water. There is a path throughout for those who don't want to walk on the grass. People are lovely, have never had a problem and thankfully high percentage of people cleaning up after their dogs. Loads of parking on Old South Head road with multiple entrances to the park. It isn't completely fenced in on the road side so those with puppy's should take care.
It is a wonderful quiet place with a big field facing the nice sea. There is a track built and field for the dogs to run around. Facing the sea with wonderful wind blow to keep relax.
Great views and a fantastic place for morning / evening walk or a quick /short family getaway. Kids have lot of space to run around and play and good for some nice photos as well. It is on the way to watson’s bay and a quick stop over won’t be disappointing. Enough parking on the roadside and easily accessible as well. The view of horizon is breath taking and if you are lucky you will get glimpses of ships passing by.
Feels special to see such a beautiful piece of NSW history (1st lighthouse in Australia) Well worth pulling over and looking about to soak up the great views and sea breeze
