Coogee Wine Room - Restaurant & Bar

Coogee Wine Room has an impressive wine list, as the name would imply. The staff are knowledgeable about wine, which helps, and the pricing is quite reasonable and realistic, no $40k bottles like at Mimi's down the road. The food is great but by no means Michelin Star, more steak fritte than molecular gastronomy. We've been here a few times, for dinner and Sunday afternoon drinks, and enjoyed ourselves always. The atmosphere is pleasant, and a conversation could be held easily, unlike Una Mas down the road. Its a popular place, so on weekends a booking is a good idea, although last year our party of 4 turned up on a Saturday night and they found us a table. It can be a bit rustic, for that amount of money, a tablecloth would be good, but high end glassware is used. Its an uber trip as parking on Coogee Bay Road is rarely, if ever available, and you wouldn't want to drive after the excellent wine. I will definitely go there again

Perfect restaurant experience from start to finish. Had a group of 12 try the Feed Me menu. great to be able to focus on friends without having to think about what to order. Our table was in a quiet area making catching up easy. Food was delicious and courses were perfectly timed. And our server Annabelle was incredible. Thanks GWR for such a memorable evening!

Visited this wine room, service was impeccable, we tried the feed me tasting menu with wine pairing...a great choice definitely recommend, flavours were amazing, size perfect and standard very high. Table service was incredible with Riedel glassware. The chocolate truffles were incredible!

Had our dinner with family of 9 at CWR celebrating my wife's birthday. Had corresponded with the Venue Manager - Chris, who is very patience and helpful in assisting us with the booking - from securing a more private dining area down to the menu selection. We also well taken care of by one of the servers - Annabelle. Great ambience, food was wonderful with generous portioning. Family had a great time and we will definitely be back in the near future. It is a cozy place to drop by for a quick sipping wine or to have a long lunch like we had. Great service. We got "feed me menu " $268 4 courses Food paring with wines. I wouldn't recommend getting it. ( we got a voucher as a gift) I think it would be better to choose from a la cart. The steak wagyu is great. Mulled wine is amazing 👏 Can't wait to go back to try other menus and for more Mulled wine.
