What people say
This spot sits right across from Coogee Beach, making it a great place for people watching and soaking up the lively beach atmosphere. The outdoor seating is lovely. I ordered the fish tacos, but unfortunately they were disappointing - the fish was extremely salty and looked like it had been cooked multiple times. Food wise, it was a 4/10 for me. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the bathrooms were quite poor, which was another downside. Overall: great seating and lovely staff, but the food and amenities really let the experience down.
Dropped in for brunch today after being seduced by this venue’s outdoor tables overlooking the beach on a beautiful sunny Sydney morning. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with convenient QR code at the table for ordering and payment. A nice range of breakfast options and we opted for scrambled eggs with sides of bacon & mushrooms along with the egg & bacon roll. Food didn’t take long to arrive and it was fresh, delicious & generous serving sizes. Tomato relish in the roll was delicious & the egg was cooked to perfection for my taste. Coffee & hot chocolate were really good too. Service is efficient and friendly here with very attentive and professional staff. Given the “tourist trap” nature of Coogee and the prime position of this restaurant I had low expectations but we were absolutely delighted with our meal. Venue is highly recommended!
Coffee is great usually my go to unfortunately 3 different times their Coffee machine was not working 😕 ended up going elsewhere. Almonds croissants are alright. Atmosphere is nicely located in a corner in Coggee beach both indoors/outside sitting area nice view. Cute café staff are lovely
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Honestly there lucky there isn’t much competition in the area. Although staff are smiley and friendly they just seems like they really don’t listen. I ordered 2 oat latte’s and 2 plates of scrambled eggs and avocado with 2 extra eggs in each one, Instead they brought only 1 plate of scrambled eggs and 1 extra eggs with 2 sides of avocado. When I brought this up they were friendly enough to try accommodate but then I had to pay for an extra plate and then wait a further 10 mins or so to actually get the food I ordered. Also the eggs were cold on top and avocado was drenched in oil and brown in some parts. The iced oat latte was also bitter. But second eggs were warm and cooked well.
We had the chicken skewers and both the fish and chicken tacos, absolutely amazing! The flavors were fresh and well-balanced. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Only downside: no coffee available, which was a bit of a letdown. Otherwise, a great spot & we’ll definitely be back!
