A northern shore of Sydney Harbour, in the suburb of Lavender Bay, New South Wales known for its scenic views, relaxing atmosphere, and its proximity to some of Sydney's most iconic landmarks, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. It offers fantastic views across Sydney Harbour, especially of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. It’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists who want to take in the sights without the hustle and bustle of more crowded areas like Circular Quay. The area itself is rich in history and was once part of the land used for shipbuilding during Sydney’s early settlement. The park itself was developed in recent decades and is now a serene and attractive space that celebrates both the natural beauty and the history of the area. It is close to other popular spots like Wendy’s Secret Garden, a charming public garden created by artist Wendy Whitely, which is located right next to the park. It’s also a short walk from Milsons Point, home to North Sydney’s lively shops and cafes. The park itself is perfect for a relaxed day out. It has ample green space for picnics, some lovely walking paths, and benches where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. It’s a family-friendly location and also a favourite of dog owners for a peaceful stroll. Well connected by public transport, with trains stopping at nearby Milsons Point Station and ferries servicing the area. It's also an easy walk from the bustling North Sydney area. While it is close to the more tourist-heavy areas of Sydney, it’s often quieter, making it a peaceful retreat for those looking to enjoy the harbour views without large crowds. except the New Year Eve. One of the best and memorable place for me.

Lavender Bay Parklands is an absolutely icon park in Sydney. You can stand there and take in the Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Opera House and Luna Park in one take. Marvel at the engineering feats and the visual feats of days gone by. Today I married a lovely couple there and was so proud to be Australian.

Such a beautiful spot. Take a nice walk on the promenade and look out for the cute little characters by famous Australian illustrators like May Gibbs. You’ll see the Gumnut babies, the Banksia man and many more. Make sure you finish off on the wharf overlooking the beautiful Bay.
