Duff Reserve is a small harbourside reserve at Point Piper with a quiet, local feel. Dogs are welcome on-leash, kept clear of playgrounds and food areas, with parking on hand for an easy visit. It is a compact green close to the water rather than a large park. A low-key on-leash spot near the harbour.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when in public unless in a sign-posted off-leash area. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play areas, within 10 metres of food preparation/consumption areas (except outdoor dining), from school grounds and childcare centres. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. Source: Woollahra Municipal Council – Walking Your Dog (woollahra.nsw.gov.au/Services/Animals-and-Pets/Walking-Your-Dog)
A very pleasant, small place to relax or have a little picnic. Plan to take your rubbish with you, as there are no bins. Enjoy it and look after the harbour. There are many steps down, and I did not see any water taps.
McKell Park in Point Piper offers breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge. Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a quiet picnic or stroll. The lush gardens, historic sandstone features, and direct water access make it a serene escape from the city buzz. A must-visit for locals and tourists alike!
It is a beautiful, calm and organized place. It was possible to see the New Year's Eve fireworks very well. I recommend going to see and visiting it.
Great look out. Would be a perfect spot to watch NYE fireworks.
The park itself is tiny and somewhat sparse, but the views of the city are definitely worth the visit. It’s several flights down from the street (unfortunately not wheelchair accessible) and the walk down is apparently through the “reserve,” but this appeared more like a poorly maintained, run down green space that’s covered in weeds and animal droppings. Such a shame bc it’s obviously located in a very expensive neighborhood but they seem to have neglected the care of this space. Once you get to the actual “park,” it’s a small turf area with a couple of benches and a table. The view of the city, however, is pretty stunning, especially on cloudy days.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
