I had a lovely evening last night at The Captain’s Balcony. My favourite dishes were the charred cauliflower and the burrata, all the food was delicious. Thank you 😋
We’re local to the area and have walked past this establishment thinking that it’s a mere drinking hole but boy were we wrong! We visited on a weekend lunch and had one of the best meals in the area. We’re non drinkers and we were impressed by the mocktails available on their menu. Onto the food. Every dish was prepared thoughtfully and finely. We loved every dish, in particular the mushroom tartar, pork belly and most of all the prawn skewers. Do not miss the latter. Other stunning dishes were the steak and scallops. We shall be back very very soon, what a gem of à place! Ps sit inside and it feels like a world away from the busy bits of crowd nest. Gorgeous interiors alongside an impressive variety of whiskies!
I visited this whisky bar in Crows Nest during my anniversary with my wife. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful experience. Rosie, who served us that evening, was very attentive and made our visit even more enjoyable. Thank you for the great hospitality. We will definitely be back again.
This is my second year going here for my birthday dinner and it genuinely did not disappoint. Like there was not a single course in the tasting menu where I was like thats eh. My friend and I both agreed that every dish was great not only visually but also texturally and flavour wise. U also need to add on the custard omds it is truly heavenly. The highlights were definitely the cauliflower, mushroom tartare as well. The atmosphere is also great with their wall of bottles and their service is good. I am looking forward to coming back again.
we tried this place via first table & the food was exceptional, especially the vegetarian dishes stood out to me even though i’m a meat lover! only thing is the portion sizes are quite small with the first table tasting menu. i think it’s a good place for a girl dinner paired with some nice drinks (we had mocktails and they were both great), but not necessarily with a hungry boyfriend 😁
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
