I had a lovely evening last night at The Captain’s Balcony. My favourite dishes were the charred cauliflower and the burrata, all the food was delicious. Thank you 😋
Wonderful new place in Crows Nest. Charred cauliflower was the best i have had in my life, ill come back for it every month i think, this was truly delicious, i honestly cannot stop thinking about and a little bit regret the fact that i shared it with my partner 💔. Hibachi grilled steak, scallop crudo and brussel sprouts were stunning. separate massive thank you to Livais, his knowledge of whiskeys, cocktails and all the spirits is very impressive, and i think at some point my partner was paying more attention to him than to me 😅
We visited on a weekday evening for dinner and the food was amazing. They cater for vegan and other dietary needs but would recommend the grilled cauliflower and maple brussel sprouts. Although we got there a bit early and ordered early, the food took a little longer but so worth the wait. The bartender/server was so lovely too, would come again!
Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu for $89 pp. A mix of entrees and mains and the dessert was excellent, strong tea flavour Definitely come back
Stunning and cozy place as you walk in. You’re immediately greeted by the backlit cocktail bar and seated by the friendly staff. The ambience feels almost as if you’re in a dimly lit cave. Ordered the tasting menu for 2 and dishes came out really quick. Highlights were definitely the scallops and the mushroom tartare. Scallops were so fresh with a really fresh sweet soy dressing and the mushroom tartare had so much flavour with a crispy crunch from the rice crackers. The crispy pork belly was absolutely amazing, really fatty and tender and with a really crispy exterior. Felt the hibachi grilled steak was a little tough but the fries were fire. The drinks were also excellent, mango mezcal was refreshing and the ravens martini was very smooth. Felt the drinks were beautiful presented and well worth the price. The tasting menu gives you two free cocktails but we had to try a few others. Definitely recommend for a nice cozy date!
