Oatley Park is a large bushland park on the Georges River, a wonderful spot for a family outing with walking paths, picnic areas and water views. Dogs are welcome on-leash, with drinking water, BBQ facilities, picnic tables and parking on hand. The mix of bush and foreshore makes for a lovely, varied walk. A scenic on-leash park for a proper walk.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in this park. Under Georges River Council policy, dogs are permitted on-leash in public places except in designated leash-free areas; this park is listed on Council's Park and Reserve Facilities directory and is not a designated off-leash area.
Lovely park and reserve, bush walking track, swimming spot. Quiet and tranquility, best place for morning walk, picnic or just sit and enjoy the nature, birds, fish and other wild life.
Great Place for kids & BBQ facilities & toilets close by!
Great place for a picnic. The park is quite majestic. It was a perfect spot for us to shoot here, especially given the old age architectural arches and castles (if you can call them that). The place has BBQ facilities, clean toilets and ample parking spots.
Located at 1 Dame Mary Gilmore Road, Oatley, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 Oatley Park is a wonderful place to bring the family, especially the kids. The playground is fantastic. The main tower is great but can be a workout, even for an adult. The slide is good but can be fast. There’s a flying fox and it’s quite popular, it has a harnessed chair for younger children. There’s also BBQ and seating facilities for people wishing to have a picnic or just have a seat and relax and good toilet 🚻 facilities. The steamroller is always popular and a great touch to the playground. There’s various walking tracks around the park and they vary in difficulty depending on your capabilities, from easy going to more difficult. You can use these paths for cycling 🚴🏾, hiking, walking your dog 🐕 (on leash), or just a casual stroll. It’s very popular on the weekends. The Oatley castle is always a great spot to visit, it has amazing views from the top platform. It was built during the Great Depression . I remember coming there as a child and enjoying it. Also worth going down to water. There’s a great fishing spot on the wharf snd the Oatley Baths are a wonderful spot for swimming. Oatley Park is open from approximately 6.30am and the gates close at dusk year round. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oatley Park. You can really make a day of visiting here. It’s so family friendly. A definite Thumbs up from me 👍👍👍
Great view overlooking the Jewfish Bay. Very relaxing place. Best for hiking, cycling, walking and kids play area.
