Lovely Beach, with an awesome salt water pool, very helpful lifeguards. A nice cafe and clean toilet and change rooms. Please note google maps sent me to the wrong beach, so if you arrive at a beach without a car park, your at the wrong beach
Located at The Esplanade, Thirroul, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. A fantastic beach that has everything you could ask for. It’s very flat, so easy to walk on. There’s a great cafe at the Pavilion to have some to eat and drink. Thirroul Beach is 1km in length and is patrolled from September to April and there’s a saltwater pool that’s great for a swim. Thirroul Beach is a time share dog 🐶 zone which allows dogs on the beach on leash at certain times depending on the season. The toilet facilities are also very good and disabled toilets are available. There’s a great children’s playground in the park close to the beach, as well as BBQ facilities and tables and chairs. We were at the saltwater pool today, a weekday so there wasn’t any large crowds. This made it very enjoyable. Thumbs Up!! 👍👍👍
Lovely beach but probably too rough for my little ones to swim, but the nearby pool which is free is great as well as the cafe. Lots of parking nearby and a playground if you don’t want to go swimming.
Thirroul Beach is a nice spot, but it was pretty busy when I visited, which made it a bit crowded. The surf was a bit rough too, so it wasn’t the best for little children to swim in. That said, it’s still a lovely area for a walk or to enjoy the scenery. I’d recommend it for families with older kids or anyone looking for a more active beach day, but it might not be ideal for young kids or those looking for a quieter, calmer experience.
Very beautiful beach with great water for surfing. The beach is quite empty during the weekday and had a ton of smooth rocks on the shoreline. There's only a cafe close by for anything to eat, you'd have to walk to the main town for most of the good items.
