Go here for lunch often after chair yoga. Went today and made the mistake of ordering the mixed grill, the lamb skewer was so tough it took an effort to digest it. The grilled steak was also tough and dry, the pork riblets were ok as was the egg and again way too many chips. I won’t order this dish again
Our third Christmas lunch here today, also our last. Food was mediocre, service was poor. Had to line up for over twenty minutes to process payment in person even though CC details were provided during booking a few weeks ago. Some of the hot food had dried out hard edges so clearly had been kept hot since the earlier session, ours was due to start a 2 pm but we didn’t sit down for lunch until 2:40 pm. Christmas lunch is supposed to be special, ours wasn’t
Booked a table and were placed near the bar on bar stools when there were actual tables in the restaurant. We moved on request and after some bowlers joined our table. Ridiculous place to put booked patrons. It was all down hill from there. Food was expensive and not worth it. It was brought out at different times, over cooked, bland and the apple strudel was so stale, a knife barely cut it. This place has well and truly gone downhill. I won't be returning.
Food was average, took a very long time to get meals and drinks. Ordered coffee and a cake, cake was not brought to us after 20 minutes so had to follow that up as they has forgotten about it, coffee took over 25 mins. Staff member making the coffees was talking to friends that were visiting him so was completely distracted with talking to them, once we got the coffees they tasted terrible, burnt and old stale water. Restaurant was not overly busy lunchtime so was very disappointing and unprofessional experience.
Been a few times now and haven't been dissapointed in the slightest. Tasty meals. Nice outside dining area. I'll happily bring family back again.
