What people say
Having researched multiple venues in Kiama for our small wedding reception, it was an easy decision to go with Silica, and they absolutely went above and beyond throughout the whole process. My partner and I had an amazing experience there and can't thank Millie and the team enough for all the work they put in to make our day so special and memorable. From the initial contact and planning, staff were so lovely and responsive to engage with, and helped make the organising as stress-free as possible. The upstairs space was completely perfect, with gorgeous views of Surf Beach alongside its own bar and lots of space for guests to mingle between courses. In terms of the food, this was top class, with everything on the menu so delicious - we are still getting compliments from guests about how good it all was! And with me being coeliac, they had no trouble at all making everything gluten free, and also catering for another guest who is vegan. Overall, we would absolutely recommend Silica as a go-to restaurant in Kiama, and especially for events. We can't wait to visit again and am so grateful to have Silica as part of our wedding memories.
Nice local restaurant. Lovely wine selection. Recommended: King prawns, oysters, steak. Yum yum yum!
Came here last minute for my little sister’s birthday and were so happy it was open late. Honestly, it was the only spot nearby that let us celebrate, which made the night feel extra special. The cocktails and food were nice. The service could have been a bit friendlier, though it didn’t take away from our evening. The decor is lovely and thoughtfully arranged, the location is great, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The birthday girl was so happy. That’s what mattered most, and it made the night feel really special despite being a last-minute plan.
Food was great, however one of the servers there (asian female) seemed very uninterested and came off rude and dismissive. Panna cotta was definitely the highlight - loved the use of olive oil!
The food here is awesome. Had an amazing seafood lunch. All tasty and fresh. This is Friday 251 which represents five years of Friday seafood lunches. This one was right up there great food, great vibe and great staff.
