Kiama Farmers Market is a highly rated dog-friendly park where dogs are welcome on lead. And if you're up for a coffee, Fillmore’s is around 300 metres away.
Dogs must be kept on-leash and are only permitted on perimeter footpaths of public parks within the Kiama Municipal Council area. Dogs are not permitted in park interiors. Dogs are not permitted on beaches unless within a designated off-leash beach area, in Minnamurra River water areas, or in Crooked River. Dogs are not permitted within 10 metres of children's playgrounds or food preparation/consumption areas, or on active sports fields during organised sport. Dog faeces must be immediately removed and properly disposed of. Source: Kiama Municipal Council – Dog off-leash areas (kiama.nsw.gov.au/Services/Animals/Dog-off-leash-areas)
We stopped by Kiama Farmers’ Market around 1pm on our way to Jervis Bay. There were some really good-looking fruits on display, which caught our attention. However, the market hadn’t officially started yet, and the stallholders weren’t willing to sell at that time. It was a bit disappointing as we were hoping to pick up some fresh produce. Might be a better experience if you arrive during the official opening hours.
Great stalls and awesome vibe along the Kiama shore. Wide range of food options as well.
Awesome farmers market so many stalls, majority food which is to be expected. They had table and chairs, free Santa photos and games like chess for people to play. Great atmosphere.
A really great example of a local market! Kiama Farmer's market features mostly local businesses selling their wares and interacting with their community, which gives this market such a better vibe than the typical travelling stall type markets. Families were out in force to buy bits and pieces, listen to the live music, play in the park, and swim on the beach. I'd definitely recommend planning to stay for dinner and bringing a picnic rug. Speaking of which, the opening hours are so good! 3pm-6pm is unfortunately pretty rare for a market, because it really is a great way to close out the day.
Such a fun little afternoon out in Kiama - so many different stalls to talk around and visit, of course my favourite being the dubai chocolate blocks and Dubai chocolate strawberry cups with pistachio and bueno chocolate!!! But loved also the flowers sold by Michael from Jonima and fresh groceries by the family business!
