Really lovely cafe, dog friendly, spacious, nice atmosphere. Went there with my 6 month old baby today, easy pram access and nappy change facilities. Food was beautiful, I got a pulled beef poke bowl and a coffee. They serve Singe O coffee, it was perfect - didn’t even charge extra for the oat milk! Will come again! Thank you!
What great a great place. Atmosphere very modern and relaxed. You feel at home as soon as you walk in. Comfortable seating and very friendly, helpful service. Called in for a coffees and glad we did. Coffee was great served in stainless steel cups that reminded us of thermos lid cups. Plenty of different style seating as can be seen in photos plus an upstairs area. Pet friendly with a lovely resident dog named Hira I think.🤔
It was an estimated 13 minutes walk from where I'm staying - O'Riordin St > right on Collins St > left on Bourke Rd. On the corner. It's a cafe connected to a workplace. Greeted by a sleeping doggo. I arrived pretty late, almost lunch time. I ordered a truffle and mushroom toastie, toasted banana bread with honey butter and a matcha latte. I love my matcha lattes and it's difficult coming across a more than decent matcha latte. The matcha used is a vibrant green full of depth and body. I like the slightly powdery taste. I initially forgot to request for 'extra hot' but it was perfectly hot, maybe it was the cup it came in which retains heat much longer than usual. I lathered my banana bread in butter and sliced into bite sizes cubes. It was light, fluffy and not too sweet. I didn't expect chunky mushroom pieces but there was definitely at least 3 types from what I could taste. I was all carbed out after that.
My colleague took me here as it's the closest joint for a quick break coffee. The place looked like deceased estate from the outside but don't let that fooled you. Inside it's like a modern insty friendly industrial establishment. also greeted by a dog, i think it's named Hera? Menu's professionally laid out in text and/or visual for someone who cant read like me. Check out for the Quesadilla special, cinnamon swirl and the iced matcha. It's my go to. If any of you goes, send my regards to Christina & Abby. They're such angels. Toodles.
I well and truly learnt my lesson today after yet another disappointing takeaway lunch. Today it was a dry salad with a few miso mushrooms that I paid $15 for. Added bonus were the fruit flys jumping out of the bowl. Always over priced. Always tasteless.
