Arthur Whitling Park is a dog-friendly park in Castle Hill where dogs are welcome on lead. Hillside Hotel is around 400 metres away for an easy post-walk drink.
Under the Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be on-leash at all times in all parks and public places. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's playground equipment and food preparation areas, from active sports fields during organised sport, public bathing areas, school grounds, and child care centres. Dog faeces must be removed immediately. (Source: The Hills Shire Council — Stay out of the Doghouse, thehills.nsw.gov.au.)
Park is a little dirty but theirs so relaxing and safe and many things to do that are social
Arthur Whitling Park is a well-maintained recreational area conveniently located next to the train station. The playground is clean and thoughtfully designed, featuring vibrant red equipment that adds a cheerful touch. Its location makes it easily accessible for families and commuters alike. The park's upkeep ensures a pleasant experience for visitors of all ages.
Right outside the metro exit, next to the shopping mall, good place for kids and skating.
Park designed and constructed as part of the Sydney Metro project, but the heavy traffic along Old Northern Road really makes it hard to relax.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
