Wamberal Beach is a long Central Coast surf beach with a designated dog section. Dogs are allowed off-leash in the marked dog beach, so it is worth checking the signage for any seasonal or time conditions. The open sand gives plenty of room for a run and a swim. A relaxed beach for an off-leash outing.
Nice strip of beach but 1 friendly dog suddenly ran straight to my wife’s face and startled her and put a bit if sand in her whole face thats all😡 no dogs allowed as per sign but dogs everywhere you look with no leash. I suggest they change the signs as I don’t mind dogs, I love them but this sign is just useless and silly. Why have them up in the first place?
Stunning beach located next to a huge lagoon that will allow for paddle boards and other craft difficult to manage in the surf. There are good bathroom facilities and the beach is guarded. The sound system at the station made it seem like she was standing over your shoulder advising of the incoming storm. The sand here is amazing - immaculate, very soft, and super thick. The surf lifesaving club has a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and amazing views.
Wamberal is a beautiful coastal suburb on the Central Coast, offering a laid-back atmosphere and stunning ocean views. Its long, golden beach stretches north from Terrigal, providing plenty of space for walking, surfing, or simply relaxing by the water. The northern end of the beach, also known as Spoon Bay, is framed by rugged dunes and a rock platform, offering great spots for exploring or photography, especially when the waves crash over the rocks. Wamberal Lagoon adds a scenic natural touch to the area, bordered by the tranquil bushland of Wamberal Lagoon Nature Reserve. This protected habitat is home to a variety of birds and native wildlife, making it a great spot for nature lovers. In the early morning, the calm waters of the lagoon often reflect the soft light, producing stunning compositions with beautiful contrasts.
Lovely beach with a lagoon and brilliant waves and sand. Very safe too as there are lifeguards and safety zones. 10/10
