Hunts Lookout is a scenic harbourside spot at Cremorne Point with a designated off-leash area. In keeping with North Sydney's parks, dogs are welcome off-leash under effective control, with lovely views over the water. It is a quiet, pretty place for a walk near the point. A pleasant off-leash lookout by the harbour.

Dog rules

All North Sydney Council parks are off-leash by default. Dogs must be leashed in bushland areas (Wildlife Protection Area).

We just passed Hunts Lookout on weekend. It’s quite here, the side walk is easy to walk.

This small patch of remnant bushland offers an experience of what the lower north shore would have felt like prior to European settlement. Tucked out of the way you can access it from Mosman Bay or Kareela Rd in Cremorne. Filtered views over Mosman Bay are on offer, however the path is narrow and uneven with a few steps so take care. Grab a coffee at Mosman Bay at the start or finish of your walk.

Glamour spot, protected from breezey days, nice to park yourself ready for a picnic, a break mid walk and take in the serenity
