What people say
Mixed good and bad points, but worth a visit. The good points are the open spaces, tree cover, water and toilet block availability and decent play equipment. The bad points are the very run down picnic tables and toilet block, along with parking that accommodates 6 cars only (although there’s some side streets not too far away). Frequent planes and rail work also make it a little noisy. Overall a good park for those who live locally.
Plenty to do and see, including trains, planes, trees and bridges. Fenced off with nice white picket fence.
Really spacious and well designed park with several play areas. Probably more suited for younger kids, older ones may get a bit bored. But there's a large field behind for picnics and ball games, and you can see trains and planes going past at close range, very exciting for kids who love engines. There are toilet facilities and a drinking fountain. There's also a small carpark, with only seven or so parking spots, so on busy days might need to find off street parking elsewhere.
