A very impromptu outing for a brunch given how nice and warm the weather is getting and we had a few things to do this morning out further west of home. We headed up to Blaxland and found this absolute gem of a place. The menu was so difficult to choose from as there were so many temptations. Given what we did choose, I'm sure you could not go wrong here. The food was delicious and tasted so fresh. The staff were awesome. So accommodating and friendly. Not that we took our dogs, but is a dog friendly location. Our first time here but not our last.
I like to think I have pretty high standards when it comes to food and rarely take the time to review but the menu and execution at Sorrelle was simply exceptional. Despite being a relatively small business that's a little tucked away their all day breakfast options hold their own against the best Sydney eateries, whilst their little ingredient twists elevate dishes to a cut above. I had the Kimichi Eggs Benedict and the combination of flavours and textures as well as presentstion/portioning was excellent. Their Dirty Chai Latte is a must too with their homemade chilled coffee foam topper making for a silky and refreshing sipper. The cafe also has outdoor tree-shaded seating and the wait stuff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place to any foodies out there looking to try some of the best food the Blue Mountains has to offer.
It's off the main road near the car park, so nice and quiet. A small cafe with outdoor seating. The menu provides all day breakfast and lunch options which are a bit different to your usual cafe. Coffee is good. The regular size come in a cup and the large in a mug without a handle so can be hot to hold on to. I had the cheese toasties which is basically minced meat with cheese..so good. My colleague had the prawn tacos which were really good too. Service can be slow when it is busy but everyone is lovely.
Accidentally stumbled across this little gem on the way back to Mudgee. Was taken back by the food and service and they were accommodating for my sons food sensory likes. Easy to say the best pancakes I have ever had in my life. Enjoyable stop between Sydney and the blue mountains.
Coffee is good, the banana bread I had was some of the best I’ve ever tasted, and the service was friendly. Three stars for atmosphere because there’s only so much you can do with some tables in a cold walkway. Just come for the banana bread.
