Wentworth Falls Lake Playground

Dogs likely welcome

Wentworth Falls Lake Playground is a park in Wentworth Falls. Dogs are generally allowed on a lead in NSW public parks unless signs say otherwise — but the rules here aren't confirmed, so check local signage before visiting.

Dog rules

–Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, section 13(1): "A dog (other than a dog being exhibited at a show or being trialled or trained for showing) that is in a public place must be under the effective control of some competent person by means of an adequate chain, cord or leash that is attached to the dog and that is being held by (or secured to) the person." Blue Mountains City Council publishes a list of 14 designated off-leash dog areas in the Blue Mountains; this venue is not on that list, so the NSW Act's leash requirement applies. (Source: NSW Companion Animals Act 1998 s.13, legislation.nsw.gov.au; BMCC "Off-Leash Dog Areas in the Blue Mountains" page, bmcc.nsw.gov.au/dogs.)

Beautiful and scenic spot to bring the whole family. Perfect for water sports. Fenced area with play equipment for younger children. Food truck selling waffles onsite. Toilet facilities also available. Some street parking in the area. Ducks and water fowl are the real stars of the show 🦆

A good location worth visiting. The lake is surrounded by the walking/cyllcling track which makes the experience much better. Small boat/float is a good option and there is kids play area too. Only downside is the expensive parking($30 for 4 hrs) but free parking is 500m away.

This is a beautiful public playground at Wentworth Falls Lake. Playground is fully fenced. Suitable for children 4-12. Adjacent lots of shaded picnic space, a public BBQ and toilet. For those who are restless, they can overlook the lake or take a hike around the lake. Paid parking. (Bring a big wallet!)

This place has certainly changed in the last 30 years. My first disappoinment has to be the outragous parking fees that there is now, paid parking at $10 hour, even for locals, having said that the whole area has had an uplift. New enclosed park area for kids aswell as the pirate ship further up. Clean, covered modern toilets accessible for all. Covered bbq area, seats, picnic tables and water refill stations, rubbish bins and even free doggie clean up bags. Lots of walking tracks which are sign posted,a board walk, boat ramp and a coffee van was there. Lots of ducks, birds and nature.

Beautiful playground with loads of parking across the streets and playground for kids. You can do boating here it bushwalking depending on what you want. A small coffee drive up van and toilets are available to use. Bbq seating is also available with boat ramps.
