Wimbo Park
Wimbo Park is a park in Surry Hills with plenty of shade. Dog access isn't confirmed, but it may be worth checking.
Dog rules
Dogs are welcome in this park but must be kept on a leash at all times. Off-leash exercise is only permitted in the City of Sydney's 50 designated off-leash parks — this is not one of them. Dogs are prohibited from playgrounds, sports courts, and enclosed sports ovals. Please pick up after your dog — free waste bags are available at most parks. What people say
Looks like a good space for dogs to run. Tempted to have a go on the trampoline but at my age decided not to risk it..🤣
Amazing job refurbing this park. Beautiful new space for dogs and children and right opposite Bourke Street bakery!
Wimbo Park was open today when I walked from Central to Moore Park. There are dozens of trees and lots of shrubs. No shade yet, but give it a year or two. On a sunny day it was being enjoyed by children, pets and their adults. A separate bike path is beside the park.
The latest version of Wimbo park is disappointing and dangerous. No real playground for kids and too much concrete/paving. It is easy to trip on the very long reeds which branch out over the concrete/paved paths. Only partial fencing for the tramline. Be careful.
recently been upgraded, plenty of seating & picnic spots. nice small play area with climbing mounds and trampolines. Really sweet spot
