Hinkler Park has a fenced off-leash area with direct access to the river, giving dogs the option to run on sand and then cool off in the water. The enclosure means even dogs with less reliable recall can enjoy off-leash time safely. There are toilets, parking, BBQ facilities, and good shade. Mulatto Coffee is just around the corner.

Dog rules

Designated fenced off-leash dog area. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. Check council signage for hours and boundaries. (Source: Northern Beaches Council.)

We love this dog park ! Fully fenced, lots of space for the dogs to run around, and it’s a bit quieter than other parks in the area. The dogs can go for a swim too! 😊

Off the lead dog park next to the lagoon, creek and beach. Great playground at Eastern end and adult fitness centre and facilities at Western end. Great location to exercise dogs at low tide, lots of wet sand and shallow water. BBQ facilities are available at the playground end and lots of shade trees and areas suitable for children and picnic occasions. Good parking is available at both ends of the park. Well used particularly at weekends and on sunny days. The outdoor fitness centre at the western end has had recent upgrade with lots of new equipment and padded space.

My little furry friend loves this park, loves to play ball, sniff & run around with his buddies, then has a swim - when water is clean, then up the path we go for a walk from Queenslcliff to Manly. Then on the way back, another swim. Enclosed area, there's a couple of playgrounds for the kids. All in all it's a great start to the day. Cheers Hinkler!!!

This is a great park for fur babies! It is enclosed so even those with terrible recall can have a blast! Sounded by the river - dogs have access to all the fun, large play area and a dip in the water if need be! Warning: very sandy/muddy by the river so be prepared for a long detailed bath if your dog is a swimmer!
