Gosford Waterfront Park is a well-regarded dog-friendly park where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find parking and toilets nearby, while Tommy's Cafe is around 400 metres away for an easy post-walk coffee.
Central Coast Council's "Guide to being PAWSOME!" booklet states: "When exercising in a public place, keep your dog on a lead and under the control of a competent person." "This means when you are outside your home, including on the footpath, your dog must be on a lead — except in designated dog off-leash exercise areas." The booklet also notes that under the Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs are prohibited from schools, shopping centres, beaches (except in designated areas), food preparation areas, playgrounds and wildlife protection areas. This park is not on Central Coast Council's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies. (Source: Central Coast Council — "Guide to being PAWSOME!" Gosford Waterfront Park is a lovely spot for families and anyone looking to enjoy some time outdoors. The playground is great for kids, the picnic areas are well set up for a relaxed meal, and it’s very dog-friendly, so your furry friends can come along too. It’s a shame the water section didn’t come to fruition as planned, and parking can be a bit tricky at times, but overall it’s a beautiful, welcoming place to spend a few hours by the water.
Really peaceful area with friendly pelican waiting for scraps from the fisherman. There is also modern playgrounds, restaurants and a swimming pool near by.
Great for the kids although the main attraction is difficult for smaller children. Need to be at least 6 to reach up and climb it so going down the main slide isn't possible unless there is an older child/parent to help. Parking is very difficult as most of the close parking is taken up by all day parkers. Once we found parking my grandson had a lot of fun.
Gosford Waterfront Park is a tranquil escape offering stunning views of Brisbane Water. The park features a fantastic slide for kids, making it ideal for family outings. With a few parking spots and its proximity to the water, it’s perfect for relaxation and leisure.
Great park for a range of ages. To get up to the top is quite high up but my kids loved it. Right across from the water.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
