The Brightside Cafe

We arrived around 4pm, even though the cafe had already closed at 3pm and they were cleaning up. We politely asked if it was still possible to buy something, as we had our dog with us and nowhere nearby would welcome us. The lady and the man there were incredibly kind and welcoming. They still served us cold drinks and a ham & cheese croissant, and even reheated it properly with so much care. Such genuine kindness and hospitality — it truly meant a lot to us. Thank you so much. We will definitely come back again 🥹🐾💛

Ordered a takeaway Acai. Young server (perhaps new so that may be why), lacks basic customer service. I asked if an Acai bowl was mine as it was placed on the counter for takeaway, to which she replied with “I don’t know”. That was it?? The miniature Acai cup was $12, it took 13 minutes to make, and relative to other açais I’ve had, it was very poorly made. More granola was put in than Acai! 2 slices of a strawberry (not even an entire strawberry), and 2 orange slices wherein one was just skin😭🤨. Either better staff training is needed for a) customer service or b) knowing how to make orders.

Such an amazing cafe. The location is just stunning, and food and coffee is even better. The chilli scrambled or the poached eggs with avo are a must try. 🩵🌊

Super relaxed, very pleasant. Very nice wait staff, quick service. Recommend. And we loved the crested pigeons.

Whether it is dine-in or takeaway, from the Brightside Fritters - which my best friend and I highly recommend, or the Porridge, the Vegetable Omelette or even just a Muffin, everything at Brightside is prepared with love, with the customer's experience in mind, and so fresh! Options to dine in the sunshine or under cover. I highly recommend Brightside Cafe. Big thanks to Raj & Bobby - great menu, great food and service by the seaside!
