Cafe MONAKA Mona Vale

I only had coffee and haven’t tasted the food, but my coffees are good and the staff are friendly at Monaka. It has a chilled vibe.

The staff are friendly, the prices are not too high, the food (salmon poke bowl!!!) is my standard against which to measure all others (in fact, I've stopped buying any other salmon poke bowl because every one I've had has been a disappointment since Monaka), the chai latte is delicious and spicy, there are always small spaces to find a seat in, it's local and perfect. Thank you, Cafe Monaka, for reliably being the best!

We spent two days in the Northern Beaches and visited Café Monaka for both breakfast and lunch – and loved it! The food was fresh and beautifully prepared, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A highlight for us was the Matcha Chiffon Cake – light, fluffy, and full of flavor. The Matcha Tea was just as good – rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth trying if you’re into matcha. Great spot with a calm atmosphere and thoughtful menu. Would come back anytime.

Nice little Japanese cafe located in Mona Vale. This is probably one of the only spots (I know of) where you can get a traditional Japanese style breakfast. The cafe has two menus, one for lunch and one for breakfast. Food was decent and expect to pay around $25 for the Japanese breakfast option. Also has coffee and some Japanese style teas. I love their Monaka icecream. The food was so good and Matcha latte was nicer. I love Soba salad, all ingredient was so fresh. I would like to go there again and get another Monaka.
