Ocean bar-cantina

This is the perfect cafe/bar in the perfect spot, with a view across the road to stunning Copacabana beach. Best on a sunny day, of course. Casual, open feel with excellent choices from a fresh, uncomplicated and tasty menu. We ate outside in the shade on a heat-wave day then swam afterwards. Ideal for lovers of sun, sea and a quality meal. Young, polite service. Our meals did not come in a hurry but who's in a hurry on a beautiful day?

Cute little tapas bar opposite the beach. Wide variety of food on the menu, although bear in mind they do not make any alterations to their food. The food was tasty and the service was friendly. The only issue we did have was all the adults food arrived pretty quickly and we waited over 1hr for the kids meals (that’s a nightmare with starving kiddos). Street parking only. Reservations are recommended.

We had a beautiful family catch up. Live music by Dingo - so talented. The food was perfect and the service great too. The restaurant was fully booked but still not too loud - you could have a conversation! This could be our go to for Thursday night treat.

We went out for dinner last night to celebrate our anniversary and absolutely loved everything. The service from the girls was amazing, and the two guys behind the bar were great as well, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The food was incredible. We ordered the chorizo croquettes, the garlic cheese bread, the calamari and the steak, everything was perfect. To finish, they surprised us with churros on the house for dessert. Muchas gracias!!! We’ll definitely be back!

Good menu range and pleasant staff. I ordered the smoked baked beans but received plain beans in a small ramekin—no toast, herbs, or garnish, and they didn’t taste smoked. For $15, it felt poor value. Cutlery and tap water weren’t provided initially. The iced latte was very good. Overall, mixed experience.
