The food is nice and the cafe in a great spot near the beach , service is great and if by any chance you order the waffle for kids or adults be advised it s a big meal better sharing for 2 and it ‘s delicious. The coffee is good as well We loved this place

Arrived late for a coffee - they were packing up as closing early after v busy summer holidays and he was "cooked". Lovely barista still made me a coffee (large at no extra cost) despite having cleaned the machine ready for next day. Fab service and excellent coffee. Secured my loyalty with such good service.

We stopped by Freestate Cafe and tried both the beef brisket toastie and the loaded chicken toastie. The beef brisket was absolutely amazing! I’d say it’s rich, tender, and packed with flavor. It definitely deserved a 5/5 from me. The loaded chicken toastie was tasty as well, but the flavors were a bit overpowering and didn’t quite balance as well, so I’d rate it a 4/5. Both dishes came in generous portions with big servings, so you definitely get good value for your money. The staff were kind and friendly, which added a nice touch to the overall experience and made us feel welcome. The vibe of the cafe, however, was a bit underwhelming, nothing really stood out or made the atmosphere memorable. The food mostly made up for it, but the setting could use a little more character or energy. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re after hearty, well-portioned meals and friendly service.

What a cafe ! Breakky wrap was delicious, smashed avo was HUGE and the added brisket for $10 was worth every cent. Large servings, beautifully put together on the plate. Almost as fantastic as the beach view from the seating area. Staff attentive and constantly having conversations with patrons made the environment friendly and warm. Loved this place. Thank you !

Drove down from Newcastle to try this Cafe for my birthday brunch before doing the Bouddi Coastal Walk and was not disappointed! The food was delicious, the coffee was great, the view was exquisite and the staff were lovely 🥰 10/10 would recommend.
