Dog rules

–Central Coast Council's "Guide to being PAWSOME!" booklet states: "When exercising in a public place, keep your dog on a lead and under the control of a competent person." "This means when you are outside your home, including on the footpath, your dog must be on a lead — except in designated dog off-leash exercise areas." The booklet also notes that under the Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs are prohibited from schools, shopping centres, beaches (except in designated areas), food preparation areas, playgrounds and wildlife protection areas. This park is not on Central Coast Council's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies. (Source: Central Coast Council — "Guide to being PAWSOME!" A long wooden jetty stretches out over a calm, glassy lake. Several benches offer a perfect spot to sit. Also a starting point for Kayaking. Free on street parking, BBQ area and bathroom available.

We arrived at around 5pm at the end of August. The timing was just right. Not too crowed, the sun was at the best place. After 5:20pm more people coming but I think at that time it's a bit too late because it's already got darker. This is one of the best place to watch sunset. I've always watched sunset on beaches but this lake sunset gave me another experience.

Long Jetty Jetty is a beautiful and tranquil spot that offers sweeping views of the lake—particularly breathtaking at sunset. It’s an ideal location for a peaceful walk, quiet reflection, or capturing some great photos. During my recent visit, I was fortunate to find it relatively quiet, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The wind was mild, adding to the calm atmosphere—quite a contrast to a previous visit when it was busier and noticeably windier. The only drawback was the cleanliness of the jetty itself. There was a fair amount of bird droppings along the walkway, which detracted from the otherwise pristine setting. Regular cleaning and maintenance would go a long way in preserving the appeal of this popular spot. Overall, Long Jetty Jetty remains a must-visit for anyone in the area. Its natural beauty and peaceful charm continue to make it a standout destination.
