I popped in on a Saturday afternoon when many other coffee shops have already shut their doors to local caffeine hunters. Having worked a night shift I was keen to have a decent coffee. Driving past and seeing it was open I parked up and decided I would sit and enjoy my coffee. A fantastic range of treats greeted me as well. Ever the sweet tooth I opted for a lemon tart and an Almond flat white. The service was impeccable, never mind that the barista was probably at the end of a busy 7/8hr shift, she was courteous, friendly and told me to sit anywhere I liked . I chose a shaded spot in the front window. In a matter of moments I was brought my coffee and cake. Doesn’t sound too exciting right? Well the way it looked when it was delivered I’m sure I let out an audible ‘wow!’. Presentation has been thought about, a lot. From the perfect latte art, to the icing sugar over the cake and plate to the matching cup and plate. It matched the entire vibe of the place. What’s the old adage though, looks can be deceiving? Not so. The coffee was impeccable. Smooth, creamy, just the right temperature and the milk consistency was fantastic. This was made by someone who knows coffee. The lemon tart was however no shrinking violet. It made for an incredible duet. Sweetness, bitter lemon and the pastry texture was to die for. I was there for all of ten minutes but boy what a ten minutes. In fact it’s probably taken me longer to write this review!! I was bid goodbye and asked how everything was (a terribly overlooked feedback gauge by most businesses) and I said it was just fantastic. Thank you to the staff at three donkeys, I may have just found my new favourite coffee place!!
LOVE THEIR UNIQUE SOAP, SO I WENT TO A SOAP MAKING CLASS The class was so much fun and met some amazingly nice people, including JO who runs the shop and the classes. She is absolutely out of this world marvelous, energetic, interesting and informative. Jo ran the soap making class, and the outcomes, styles, designs, essence combinations were truly fascinating. I may do this workshop again. One of the participants was bringing to her work as a team-building event. They have a nice cafe and make better coffee than their neighbours. See the soaps in the pics below.
We loved everything about this place. Nice coffee and cakes, beautiful relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff.
A beautiful cafe and homewares shop within Long Jetty. The best coffee, exceptional staff and plenty of gluten free options.
Such a gorgeous little shop with both new & vintage items. Also has a cafe & Co-ops. Everything so beautifully arranged, will definitely be back.
